Travis Barker’s son Landon reveals he has Tourette syndrome

Travis Barker’s son Landon opens up about having Tourette syndrome. Landon Barker revealed that in his case it is a minor.

“Hi guys!” Barker wrote on TikTok. “I thought I would eventually talk about this. But yes, I actually have very, very mild Tourette syndrome.”

Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder that affects both a person’s speech and movements. It causes involuntary sounds and movements called tics. Barker said he realized he had the disorder when he was just a child. The teachers did not realize that he had the disorder and reprimanded him.

“I’ve had it for as long as I can remember, like in preschool,” Barker continued. “I remember it exactly because a teacher used to accuse me of rolling my eyes at her. Because one of the tics was like that. “It was like a weird thing I do with my eyes.”

Landon talked about other tics he had. This included head shaking, among other things. “Yes, it really bothers me in nervous situations and stressful environments,” he added. “But I thought I’d share it because why not?”

Travis Barker’s son talks about alcoholism

Barker hasn’t been afraid to make his personal struggles public. He previously spoke to People about his battle with anxiety and alcoholism. She also revealed that she had OCD and ADHD.

“It started like this: I would drink and then the next day I would disassociate a lot, and that’s how my habit of drinking a lot started,” she told People. “It was like, oh, I’d feel better the moment I had a drink, and yeah, it all started and it all moved really fast.”

A concussion caused him to stop drinking. He also made some of his struggles worse.

“I remember going to the hospital once a week because I had very bad panic attacks because of everything that was happening,” she said. “The dissociation happened first and then everything got worse when I got the concussion.”

“I’ve learned to deal with my anxiety, my OCD, my ADHD, and my dissociation,” she continued. Barker went to therapy to solve her problems. “I learned all these tips and tricks and did a lot of research, so honestly, I gained a lot of knowledge about all the things I suffer from.”
