Even though Todd Chrisley is currently serving time in prison, the former reality TV star’s legal troubles remain a major burden.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Todd Chrisley’s $755,000 will go toward compensatory and punitive damages, as well as legal fees, for Amy Doherty-Heinze. Chrisley was accused of criticizing and attacking Doherty-Heinze on social media.
Notably, the lawsuit was filed in July 2021 before Todd and his wife were found guilty of tax evasion. In her legal fight against Chrisley, Doherty-Heinze claimed that she falsely accused her of illegally spying on a government program. This was an effort to obtain information about her family.

Doherty-Heinze will receive $300,000 in compensation and $170,000 in punitive damages. Todd Chrisley will also cover his attorney’s fees.
Chrisley is serving a 12-year sentence at FPC Pensacola. His wife is celebrating seven years at FMC Lexington in Kentucky.
Todd Chrisley said he faces ‘retaliation’ in prison for speaking out about the environment
Earlier this year, Todd Chrisley claimed he faced “retaliation” after speaking out about the prison environment.
Chrisley claimed in 2023 that the conditions were “disgustingly dirty” and the food was outdated. “It’s been a year and here they are literally starving these men.”
Todd Chrisley also claimed that prison staff members are trying to “break and humiliate him.”
While speaking with NewsNation Banfield’s Brian Entin, Chrisley said the prison is now refusing to allow him into the prison chapel because of interviews he conducted last year.
“They sent the priest out of here,” Todd Chirsley said. “In the middle of his service, they made him leave. They have never found contraband there. This is the second time they have done it, and this morning they did it because they found out that he was going to do another interview with NewsNation.”
Chrisley claimed the move was to “intimidate” him. “I just came out and said, ‘It’s not going to change what I’m going to say.’”
Benjamin O’Cone, of the Camp Pensacola federal prison public affairs office, said Today While the organization does not comment on the conditions of confinement of people in custody, it said the prison’s mission is to operate facilities that are safe and humane.
