TikTok Star Noah Beck Cast In Romantic Comedy The QB Bad Boy and Me

Noah Beck will be producing and starring in an upcoming teen rom-com titled The QB Bad Boy and Me with Creator+ and Wattpad Webtoon Studios.

Noah Beck is set to star in and produce an upcoming romantic comedy from Wattpad Webtoon Studios and Creator+ called The QB Bad Boy and Me. Beck, 20, is a TikTok star who’s amassed over 32 million followers on the app. He typically posts dancing videos or comedic collaborations with other young TikTok personalities. Wattpad Studios is responsible for producing several movies that started out as fanfiction stories – including the wildly popular After series. Creator+ is a new studio and streaming platform that features people transitioning from the digital world to Hollywood.

According to Deadline, Noah Beck will be making his feature acting and producing debut in The QB Bad Boy and Me, a teen comedy based on a Wattpad novel by Tay Marley. The novel is about the relationship between a high school cheerleader and football quarterback named Drayton Lahey (Beck). It’s one of the most popular books on the platform with over 30 million reads. Production is set to begin summer of 2022. Check out Beck’s statement, below:

“I am thrilled to be partnering with this incredible team and am honored to bring Tay’s beloved story and characters to life. I can’t wait to get to work and to dive in on all creative aspects of the film.”

Beck’s involvement in this upcoming movie is part of a growing movement of social media stars attempting to turn online fame into Hollywood success. In 2021, TikTok star Addison Rae starred in Netflix’s He’s All That; in 2022, Netflix launched its reality series about TikTok stars Hype House. This trend has created a lot of controversy – while these movies and series are undoubtedly popular, some Hollywood veterans are concerned about people with little experience in the industry taking on such major roles. Beck himself is a controversial figure, who has come under fire for making content deemed homophobic by many critics. Considering Beck’s popularity as well as his divisiveness, there’s sure to be a lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming The QB Bad Boy and Me.
