Alix Earle is being made vulnerable by her father’s affair with her now stepmother, Ashley Dupré.
The 22-year-old TikToker and podcast host opened up about the complicated situation during a September 20 episode of calls his daddy podcast, hosted by Alex Cooper.
When Alix learned of her father Thomas Earle’s affair in 2008, Ashley, a former escort, had recently made headlines for a sex scandal involving then-New York Governor Eliot Spitzer.

Alix recalled the paparazzi surrounding her New Jersey home that difficult day. “I remember the day very clearly,” she said. “The paparazzi had shown up at my house and my mom quickly took me and my sister out of the house with our cousins. We stayed there for a few days and I had no idea what was going on. I didn’t know they were paparazzi. “I thought the journalists were interviewing the neighbors.”
She continued: “It was like fourth grade. I started hearing people’s comments and at the time I had an iPad. “I’m Googling my family and suddenly I see that the last two years of my life had been a lie.”
“My dad had an affair with someone who was known for her job of having sex with upper class people and one of them was even the governor of New York,” Alix told Alex. “She was very well known for that, and in turn, my father’s affair became a very public situation.”
He remembers feeling “like my world was collapsing in that moment.”
“I didn’t know the severity of what had happened between my parents because my mom was super, super mature about it and she didn’t talk to us about it and she didn’t put the stress that she was going through on us.” she said. “I kind of figured it out myself and then proceeded to fix it myself.”
Thomas and Ashley finally married in 2013 after he split from Alix’s mother, Alisa Earle.
The influencer recalled: “When my stepmom started dating my dad after he moved away, she came into his life and we were introduced to her, which was super weird. And they told me that I had to be respectful to this woman and that we had to be nice to her. She wanted to rip his head off. It was very strange because I felt like I was 10 years old and I had to be more mature than someone 20 or 30 years older than me.”
Alix had a difficult time at school after her family’s relationship with Ashley came to light.
She remembered in calls his daddy, “My teacher in high school was talking about the governor thing and she said exactly what had happened, who it had happened with, and she looked me in the eyes while this was happening in class. I remember my classmates looking at me and laughing because it was about my family. And this was something she literally taught in history class.”
“I left school crying my eyes out,” Alix said. “I was so embarrassed.”
