Nick Jonas makes a cameo in the new Priyanka Chopra movie Love againand now he explains the simple reason why he got involved.
In the film, the 40-year-old actress plays a character who goes back to dating after losing someone she loved very much. Before giving her co-star Sam Heughan a chance, Priyanka experiences a very unlucky date with Nick.
There was a component to the script that made him a logical choice for the role.

In an interview with new, Priyanka explained that her date was supposed to lick her face. The timing made that perspective difficult to coordinate with other actors.
“They were going to pick a random actor who would eventually have to lick my face during COVID, which meant I had to quarantine for 14 days and sit in a hotel room waiting to lick my face. It was horrible,” she said.
Luckily, Nick was already with her!
“Nick came to help me get settled in and our manager Jim [Strouse] he had the brilliant idea. He was like, ‘Do you think Nick would consider this?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah. Yes, please!’” he recalled. “So Nick took one for the team and he was extremely nice and charming. It turned out to be a lot of fun. It was really hard for me to act like I was embarrassed or mad at him, because I just couldn’t stop laughing.”
Priyanka added that the couple had a great time filming their not-so-great date. “There was one time when Nick said something or did something, and we were in the booth, and the crew outside were cracking up because we had to do another take.”
