Yoatzi Castro is an American social media star who is known for posting videos to her self-titled YouTube channel. Castro’s brother Louie was the first brother in the family to gain fame on YouTube. Yoatzi had created his channel two years before Louie, but he didn’t post as regularly as his brother.
Inspired by Louie’s success, Yoatzi devoted more time to YouTube and her efforts gradually paid off. So far, her channel has close to 700,000 subscribers. Yoatzi’s fame can be attributed to her keen fashion sense. She posts a variety of videos to her channel, but most of her followers tune in for beauty and fashion tips. Additionally, Castro has 669,300 followers on Instagram and more than 630,000 fans on TikTok.
This piece will focus on Yoatzi’s violent ex-boyfriend and his recent surgery.
Yoatzi’s ex, Jessie, broke into her home and pulled a gun on her after their breakup in early December 2020.
On January 19, 2021, Yoatzi posted a video titled I’m healing. In it, she explained how she had been dealing with the problems in her life. In general, she seemed optimistic with the progress she was making. Yoatzi didn’t address what was going on, but it quickly became clear that his breakup with Jessie was taking its toll on her.
She told her fans that she didn’t make a video about it because she would have come from an angry place. “I knew that if she made the video like super angry, she was just going to rant,” Yoatzi said. Hours after the video was posted, Yoatzi, her son and her father faced a life-threatening situation after Jessie broke into her home and pulled a gun on them.
According to the Watsonville police Instagram page, Jessie and her family managed to escape, but Jessie remained barricaded in the home for nine hours. The police statement said:
“After nearly 9 hours of negotiations, an armed suspect who was barricaded inside a home in the 100 block of Ginos Court was safely detained. Jessie Andrade, 30, is now facing several charges, including felony criminal threats, brandishing a firearm, felony robbery, violation of a domestic violence restraining order, and resisting/delaying her arrest.”
Yoatzi explained via Instagram that luckily no one was hurt. “Words cannot explain how I felt during that moment,” she wrote.
Castro ended his relationship with Jessie for alleged disrespect and infidelity
Yoatzi Castro was born on November 4, 1995 in Watsonville, California. He grew up with two brothers: Andrea and Louie. Yoatzi began her relationship with Jessie two years after launching her YouTube channel. A couple of years later, the couple welcomed their son, Travis.
The couple enjoyed a strong relationship for some time, but eventually parted ways after hitting a rough patch. However, they remained in each other’s lives, raising their son and creating content together. By October 2020, Castro and Jessie had patched things up and hoped to have more children. Yoatzi told Allanized in October 2020:
“I am happy with my relationship. I have been with Jessie for over six years. We had a break, I think last year we broke up for a few months… Because we have our baby together, I feel like we’ve always been in touch. So I feel like we were together in a way, even though we weren’t… Jessie and I have definitely been thinking about that. [having another baby]And I think we will soon.”
A month and a half after that interview, Yoatzi took to Instagram to announce that he was done with Jessie. “My relationship has come to an end and I am so fed up,” she wrote. “I will not tolerate any disrespect or infidelity.” Jessie also touched on the relationship via Instagram and stated that she still loves Yoatzi even though she said that she doesn’t love him. “I promised her that I would love her forever and never leave,” she wrote.
Yoatzi recently underwent surgery on his face to correct a defect caused by the removal of his spleen.
In November 2020, Yoatzi told her fans that she would undergo surgery to correct a facial defect caused by the removal of her spleen. Yoatzi is no stranger to going under the knife to correct an insecurity. He had previously had surgery to increase the size of his buttocks and had also considered augmenting his breasts.
However, after having a child and living with larger breasts due to breastfeeding, she opted not to have breast augmentation. Yoatzi explained that the biggest source of her insecurity was her puffy cheeks. She used to have skinny cheeks, but the medication she took before her spleen was removed made them bigger. She gradually shrank in size, but grew back after becoming pregnant. She said:
“I used to have a very defined jawline and I don’t have it anymore. For me, she used to have a very pretty face, and that’s not the case anymore. I think it’s because I gained a lot of weight down here because of the medicine. It got rid of all my structure and everything. And then, I gained a lot of weight over the years because of my BBL, because of my pregnancy, because of my illness.”
Yoatzi’s operation was performed in mid-December and she was very pleased with the results. “Oh my gosh! You can actually see the difference,” Yoatzi exclaimed in a video titled I did my face.
