Michael Franzese is one of the most famous mobsters in the world. He was part of the Colombo crime family and, at the height of his power, was earning up to $8 million a week. Michael was fascinated and drawn to the commitment to Christianity exhibited by Camille’s mother. She predicted that one day Michael would preach the word of God to millions. That statement marked the beginning of Michael’s transformation from crime lord to servant of the Lord.
Franzese and Camille got married after Franzese won another court case that would have sent him to jail for over 50 years. After another arrest, Michael decided to plead guilty and received a ten-year sentence. Camille helped Franzese work on his faith during his two prison terms. She said The Church of the Apostles that it was a long time before Michael fully accepted the faith. camilla said:
“It took him 10 to 12 years to be really okay with grace and forgiveness and that he was forgiven and that God’s mercy was with him as well. I think that was the hard part for Mike. He couldn’t accept that. The baptism helped because it was a ritual for him.”

He said: “She wakes up one morning and says, ‘Dad, I want to join the police department.’ He was stunned. She said, ‘Yeah, I want to do something good.’ She was really committed to doing it.”
