David Tennant is a British actor best known for playing the tenth incarnation of doctor who from 2005 to 2010. He is considered the best Doctor of all time and is one of the most famous British actors. Tennant recently announced that he would return to Doctor Who in the audio-drama series. Georgia met David in 2008 while filming an episode of doctor who. The couple began a relationship, and after a couple of years, David decided to propose to her. He told Jonathan Ross that he presented the ring as a fun Christmas present. David said:
“I wrapped a big box in Christmas paper and there was another box inside and another inside. She didn’t get it. It was weird. she was passing [the boxes] and at frame 10, he still hadn’t realized what he was doing. She was great, she opened the last box and it worked. She said ‘Yes’, luckily!
The couple married a year later in a private ceremony held in London. December is usually a special month for couples as they celebrate their marriage, Christmas and Georgia’s birthday. David explained that Georgia’s birthday gets lost in the festivities, but the couple found a special way to celebrate. He continued:
“We stay up past midnight on Christmas Day, and when all the kids are in bed, we’ll have a five-minute celebration. So you think the kids will be up in 20 minutes, so we need to get some sleep!”

Georgia became pregnant with her first child, Ty Tennant, at the age of 16. She had become involved with a 20-year-old boy and got pregnant despite taking precautions. With the support of her parents, she kept the child. David adopted Ty after he married Georgia. Ty currently has four siblings: Olive, Doris, Wilfred, and Birdie. David spoke with Jonathan Ross about his children:
“[I have] five [children now] That’s enough, it’s a sofa full! Brilliant. It’s a lot of work, but there’s nothing like it really. The baby is now nine weeks old, so you just get that thing where you look and you get a smile back. You’d give up any night’s sleep for that.
Georgia recently shared a full family photo with her followers on Instagram. In the picture, the family wore strange socks in commemoration of Down Syndrome Day. With parents spending more time with their children at home due to the coronavirus pandemic, Georgia posted a message on Instagram to celebrate stay-at-home moms. The post read: “And just like that, no one ever asked a stay-at-home mom again what she did all day.”

Georgia was born in London to actors Peter Davison and Sandra Dickinson. Peter played the role of doctor who in the early 1980s. Georgia made her acting debut on the series Peak Practice in 1999. She later starred alongside her father in The Last Detective and Fear, Stress, & Anger.
Georgia and Peter worked together again in the 2013 comedy. Reset of the five (more or less) doctors. The father-daughter duo directed, produced, and starred in the film. The film also featured cameo appearances by David and two of the couple’s children. At the time of filming, Georgia was pregnant with her third child and part of the film featured a scripted scene in which she went into labor.
Tennant produced the 2015 film 96 ways to say I love you before returning to acting in the 2017 miniseries, In the dark.
She is a patron of the Straight Talking charity, which educates people about teenage pregnancy.

When Georgia found out she was pregnant at the age of 16, she immediately became concerned for her son’s health. She had been drinking and smoking without knowing that she was pregnant and she was concerned that she might have affected the health of her child. After scans confirmed the baby’s good health, she feared how he would open up to her parents about the pregnancy.
Georgia was the one most afraid of opening up to her father, so she called her stepmother and asked her to reveal the pregnancy to Peter. According the free libraryGeorgia said:
“It was a big shock for him… But you know dad is great. He just called me and said, ‘Is this the right thing for you? Because the decisions he makes now are going to change his life forever.’ I told him that it was the right thing to do and from that moment he supported me at all times ”.
Georgia’s mom was also supportive of her decision to keep the baby and even came up with the name Ty for the boy. Georgia had the unconditional love of her parents during this difficult time, but she suffered from the stigma of the outside world. It was the hardest thing she had to deal with, which was the main reason she joined Straight Talking. She loved that the charity didn’t discriminate or judge any young parent who needed help.
Peter Davison also joined the charity along with Georgia. He wrote on the charity’s website that while he supported Georgia’s decision to keep the child, deep down he felt it was not the right decision. However, he wrote that he was glad Georgia decided to keep the child, as he couldn’t imagine life without Ty. Peter wrote:
“What kept me from expressing this more forcefully was; we have no dominion over our children. If we feel like they’ve let us down, then we’re dangerously close to letting them down, and as well as being the worst thing we can do to them, it’s also the worst thing we can do to ourselves.”
