The floats of the 2024 Rose Parade delight social networks

Many of the reactions have been super positive. “Beautiful butterflies float in the Rose Parade,” an X user wrote. Other user aggregate, “First time at the Rose Parade. “Really impressive floats.”

However, not all X users were excited about this year’s event. An user declared, “The ABSOLUTE WORST comment in my decades of watching the Rose Parade HAS to be Prime. The worst comment [have] I had no idea who the people on the floats were, nor any intelligent comments. Please have the adults do this next year!!!”

This year’s Rose Parade float winners are Kaiser Permanente (President’s Award), City of Torrance (Princess Award), One Legacy Donate Life (Judge’s Award), The UPS Store (Bob Hope Humor Award) and Louisiana Tourism Office (Show).

According to the Rose Parade website, approximately 45 floats participated in this year’s event. The cost of each float varies, but generally starts at around $275,000.

“The Tournament considers floats with major and minor budgets,” the website reads. “The mutually agreed upon cost for a float is an agreement between the participating organization and a Tournament of Roses-approved builder. The Tournament does not receive any of the funds allocated to the construction of a float.”

The fee for Rose Parade float participants is $25,000 for commercial entries or $7,500 for non-commercial entries. It is all a non-refundable participation fee and does not include construction costs.
