James Gunn Is Reportedly Taking on Dual Missions for the DC Universe Superman: Legacy Film, because he not only wrote it, but also directed it. The DCEU is getting closer and closer to its closing date, with only a few movies left to hit theaters in 2023. However, a new DC universe is emerging from DC Studios, with Gunn and Peter Safran as co-CEOs. In late January 2023, the duo announced the DC Universe’s first film and TV show. Chapter 1, “Gods and Monsters”, will reveal more entries later this year. One of the confirmed movies is Superman: Legacy Gunn officially wrote the script.
Over the past few months, reports have surfaced that Gunn appears to be directing a series about the DC Universe as well. Still nothing clear about Gunn Superman: Legacy Instructional ability.
Looks like Gunn is really doing double duty Superman: Legacy. In a recent interview comedy (overcome Superman @John_El,) DC Comics scribe and DC Universe architect Tom King seems to have overlooked that Gunn is actually directing the new season superman restart. Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios have yet to release any statement regarding this story.

Even before the title was published, Superman: Legacy is the first new DC Universe project that Gunn confirms is in the works. Although this will be a reboot, Gunn has repeatedly emphasized that it will not be an origin story. However, this DC Universe adventure will focus on a young Iron Man. This version of the DC icon will only be available in his early days as Superman.
Gunn also made it clear that this younger version of Clark Kent has had relationships with some of the main DC characters. The best way to describe it is what is equivalent to Batman Relating to the character of Robert Pattinson. He’s not entirely new as a crime fighter, but he still has a long way to go before becoming the hero the comics know him for.
Release date is 2025, Superman: Legacy Production is likely to begin in late 2023 or early 2024. Without the San Diego Comic-Con, casting announcements could be made later this year. If Gunn is really locked in writing and directing Superman: Legacyhopefully the new Iron Man will be revealed soon.
