“It is with great sadness that we share with you that, following his recent cancer diagnosis, star of stage and screen Haydn Gwynne passed away in hospital in the early hours of Friday, October 20, surrounded by his beloved children, family and close friends. “Her agent wrote in a statement.
They went on to add: “We would like to thank the staff and teams at the Royal Marsden and Brompton hospitals for their wonderful care over the past few weeks.”
Haydn played Lady Susan Hussey, one of the late Queen Elizabeth’s royal attendants, during the fifth season of The crown.
She also played Queen Camilla in the comedy series. The Windsors.
In addition to television roles, Haydn also had a successful career in the theater. The actress’ diagnosis led her to abandon a new Stephen Sondheim project in London earlier this year.
