Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg appear to be making progress on their proposed cage fight, with the Tesla CEO even suggesting they hold the fight at the Colosseum in Rome, Italy.
There have been reports that the Italian government has offered the historic site for the fight, but the Italian Ministry of Culture has denied all of them and issued a statement about it.

“Some casual fight at the Colosseum,” Elon first suggested in a tweet on Friday morning (June 30).
TMZ later reported that the Italian government actually made the offer, but the Ministry of Culture says otherwise.
While Italy isn’t saying no to the tech titans, it’s also not saying yes and handing over the architectural marvel.
In statements by Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano, through the Corriere della Sera newspaper, they state that if Elon and Mark wanted to have it in the Coliseum, it must have a charity component and must be a “non-violent defiance”.
Here is the full statement, translated from Italian: “There has been no formal contact and no written documents from the ministry, although the news may seem tasty, it is unfounded. The Colosseum is awarded, not from today, for high-profile paid events almost always for charity. Each request is carefully evaluated by the management of the Archaeological Park and is not the responsibility of the political body.
“If Zuckerberg and Musk wanted to perform at the Coliseum, they would have to make a non-violent challenge. Perhaps a kind of contest, a duel of Latin verses,” the statement continued. “And they should guarantee an adequate financial contribution to be donated to the protection of the Italian historical heritage and perhaps a part to Emilia Romagna.”
In May, the Emilia-Romagna region was affected by unprecedented flooding.
