Anil Teja Nidamanuru was born on Monday, 22 August 1994 (age 29 years; as in 2023) in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. His zodiac sign is Leo. He lived at his grandparents’ house in Vijayawada until the age of six as his mother was studying in Singapore. When he turned six, he moved with his parents to Auckland, New Zealand, where his mother got a job as a dialysis technician at the Auckland District Health Board.
His parents separated when he was nine and his mother subsequently raised him as a single mother. He attended NCEA Level 3 at Mount Albert Grammar School, Auckland from 2008 to 2012. When he was sixteen, his mother returned to India, after which he lived alone in New Zealand and pursued his studies. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management and marketing from Unitech Institute of Technology, Auckland (also known as Unitech Te Pukenga Mount Albert Campus). He was interested in cricket since childhood and later became a professional cricketer.

Teja Ndamanuru began training at Cornwall Cricket Club in Auckland at the age of eight and later played several matches for them. He played for Cornwall-Auckland in the National Club Cricket Championship from the 2014–15 to 2017–18 seasons. He has also played for Albion, Otago A and Auckland A.
He made his List A (ODI) debut for Auckland on 14 November 2018 and his List A (ODI) debut on 13 December 2017. While playing in the New Zealand domestic circuit, he shared the dressing room with various New Zealand cricketers like Mark Chapman, Colin Munro, Lockie. Ferguson, and Glenn Phillips.
Domestic – Netherlands
After moving to the Netherlands in 2019, he played for SV Kampong Cricket Club in the Dutch T20 Cup and ECS Netherlands-T10 League from April 2019 to September 2019. In January 2020, he became the player cum coach of Punjab Cricket Club Rotterdam. He scored 104 runs in 42 balls during the match against VOC Rotterdam in the 2021 Dutch T20 Cup. He also played with Australian cricketer Tim David during his early cricketing years in the Netherlands.

Teja Ndamanuru made his ODI debut on 31 May 2022 against West Indies and scored his first ODI half-century with a score of 58 not out. His first ODI century came on 21 March 2023 with an unbeaten 110 against Zimbabwe. On 26 June 2023, during the 2023 ICC World Cup Qualifier match, he helped the Netherlands equal the target of 374 set by the West Indies; Netherlands later won the match in the Super Over and qualified for the 2023 ODI World Cup.
