Ted White, best known for his role as Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, died on October 14 at the age of 96. The discovery was first shared on social media by Sean Clark, friend by White on the same day. On October 16, his son Ted announced his father’s death to Fox News. He say,
“He’s a rough character. Like it or not, he’s honest and tells the truth. “The last bloodthirsty bandit.”
Ted White’s Cause of Death
It is unclear whether White had health problems at the time of his death. His family members are currently waiting for an official statement on the matter. However, Convention All Stars owner Sean Clark took to social media to say that Ted “died quietly in his sleep at his home.” In addition, very little information has been released about the actor’s death.
Clark said,
“I just received word that my dear friend Ted White died while I was here preparing for Monsterpalooza.” I was informed that he had died quietly in his sleep at home.”
Clark praised White, calling him “the best storyteller you’ll ever meet.” He say,
“I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with him for over two decades.” He was my adoptive grandfather and truly the best storyteller I have ever met. If you haven’t read it, read his book Cast a Giant Shadow, which contains many such stories. When he wrote about his experience in the conference industry, I was delighted to be recognized in the book.”
Ted White has been recognized over the years for his appearances in film and television. Horror movie fans will remember him primarily for his portrayal of Friday the 13th.

All about White Ted
Alex Baouth, alias Ted White, was born on January 25, 1926 and is best known for his double stunt work for John Wayne, Fess Parker, Clark Gable and Richard Boone. He grew up in Snyder, Texas and went on to play football at the University of Oklahoma. He served in the Marines for six years before being contacted to become a consultant on the layout of the islands in the 1949 war film, Sands of Iwo Jima.
In 1952, White met John Wayne and began working as his double stuntman. Appearing in a number of Western films and television episodes, including Daniel Boone, Hunter, Rockford Files, The Andy Griffith Show and Magnum, PI White went on to star in films such as Gone in 60 Seconds, Silverado, Major League and other movies. He rose to fame after playing serial killer Jason Voorhees in the fourth installment of the Friday the 13th, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter series. The film, directed by Joseph Zito and released on April 13, 1984, received mixed reviews but grossed around $33 million at the box office. White accepted the role because he needed money and asked not to be shown on television.
Ted White had the opportunity to reprise his role in two subsequent films, Friday the 13th: A New Beginning and Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. He refused to return, so the roles were taken by Tom Morga and CJ Graham. Cast a Giant Shadow, a biography of White’s career by Larry K. Meredith, was published in 2017. Jeri Baouth is White’s wife. He had a kind and tolerant heart, she declared after his death. She even mentioned that he took a lot of risks and had a lot of experience. Their wives and two sons survived him.
