Taylor Swift’s Thanksgiving plans changed after ‘traumatic experience’ at Brazil Eras tour concert

Taylor Swift’s Thanksgiving plans have been upended after the death of a fan at her Brazil Eras Tour show.

The “Lavender Haze” singer is unsure of her vacation plans following the traumatic event.

A source said Page six on Monday, “She still doesn’t know his vacation plans.”

“The concerts in Brazil… She is devastated by the death of a fan. The weather is extreme. It’s a disaster I didn’t expect. It has been a traumatic experience. It’s been a lot. “She’s going to decide today,” the source continued.

Previously, the source told the publication that Swift would return to the United States for Thanksgiving.

The source explained that the singer would be deciding her vacation plans after her show on Monday, November 22. But as Swift’s upcoming shows in São Paulo begin on Friday, it appears that she has decided to stay in Brazil for the week instead of flying home.

The source explained that traveling back home might have been “too much” for Swift during this difficult time.

Taylor Swift addresses Ana Clara Benevides

On Friday, November 17, Ana Clara Benevides lost consciousness after being exposed to extreme heat at Taylor Swift’s show in Rio de Janeiro. Benevides later died of cardiac arrest in the hospital.

The heat index at the event reached 139 degrees Fahrenheit. It should be noted that the venue did not allow concertgoers to bring in drinks from outside, including sealed water bottles.

In a video posted on X, Swift, exhausted from the heat, can be seen urging staff members to give fans water while they are on stage.

Swift addressed Benevides’ death on social media, writing, “I’m not going to be able to talk about this from the stage because I feel overwhelmed with grief when I try to talk about it,” she said. “I want to say now that I am deeply sorry for this loss and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I thought would happen when we decided to take this tour to Brazil.”

Shortly after posting her statement about the deceased fan, Swift decided to cancel Saturday night’s concert due to extreme heat. It was rescheduled for Monday, November 20.
