Taylor Swift is gearing up for one of the year’s strongest box office performances with her Tour of the eras concert movie!
The “Shake It Off” pop icon, 33, broke a record previously held by a Marvel movie after generating $26 million in ticket sales for AMC theaters in 24 hours.

According to Deadline, the Tour of the eras The concert film has already moved more than $65 million in ticket sales. The figure includes data from the American theaters AMC, Regal and Cinemark, Cineplex in Canada and Cinépolis in Mexico.
Experts guess Taylor could even be on track to have an opening weekend totaling $100 million! To put that into perspective, Barbie (the biggest movie of the year) opened with $155 million at the box office. A few weeks later it exceeded one billion dollars.
After Taylor announced her big movie news, two other movies that were scheduled to arrive the same weekend changed their release dates.
In case you were wondering, there have already been questions about whether Taylor’s film would be eligible for Best Documentary at the Oscars 2024.
