Pop music icon Taylor Swift had another successful night at the Grammys this past weekend. Swift was nominated for six Academy Awards. She ended up taking home two, bringing her total to 14 in her career. She also took home her fourth award for Album of the Year.
The one-time country music star has a lot to celebrate these days. After turning in another career night at the Grammys, Swift attended an after-party. A leaked clip from the afterparty shows Swift drinking liquor directly from her bottle.

But her Grammy nominations weren’t the only thing that made Swift celebrate. During one of her acceptance speeches, Swift announced that she will release a new album this year titled “The Tortured Poets Department,” which the star says will be released in April.
“I want to thank the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way. But I know that the way the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans,” Swift said.
“So I want to thank the fans by telling them a secret that I’ve been keeping from them for the last two years, and that is that my new album comes out on April 19. Is called The Department of Tortured Poets.”
After her last album Midnights did so well, it will be interesting to see what the Swifties frontwoman has in store this year.
Travis Kelce criticized for not showing up at the Grammys
You may have noticed that one important person was missing from Swift’s side at the Grammys. That would be Taylor’s new boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who is the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. He has attended several of their games this year.
Travis is preparing to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas next weekend. And with the NFL’s grueling schedule, he wasn’t able to travel to Los Angeles this weekend. After Travis didn’t show up at the Grammys, some fans expressed their displeasure.
“Could have made both events be on the west coast,” said one Twitter user.
“That idiot could have gone to the Grammys. “He decided not to do it,” added another.
“Good player, but he doesn’t look good,” said another.
