Syeda Tooba Anwar is a Pakistani media executive, model and actor. She is best known as the second wife of Pakistani television host and politician Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

Syeda Tooba Anwar tied the knot with Aamir Liaquat Hussain on 5 May 2018. The couple hosted a grand Valima ceremony, pictures of which went viral all over the internet. Tooba became Aamir’s second wife. His first wife’s name is Syeda Bushra Iqbal and she is a television host, producer, lawyer, writer, YouTuber and social media influencer. Bushra and Aamir had two children, a boy and a girl.

In 2020, Tuba started living separately from her husband and rumors regarding this went viral in Pakistan. Clarifying the rumours, she said that Aamir had divorced her over the phone. He posted about the situation on his social media accounts. The post read,
Greetings. I think it’s time that I bring some clarity about my relationship with my ex-husband Aamir Liaquat. He has divorced me. However, divorcing me is one thing, but doing it in front of Tuba on the call, at her request, was probably the most painful and hurtful thing to me and my children. I leave my matter to Allah.
After almost one and a half years of their marriage, the actress made the news of her divorce with Aamir public through a social media post. she wrote,
With a heavy heart I want to make people aware of a development that has happened in my life. My close family and friends know that after 14 months of separation, it was clear that there was no hope of reconciliation and I had to choose the open court. I can’t explain how difficult it was but I have faith in Allah and His plans. I would appeal to everyone to respect my decision in this difficult time. Soon after announcing her separation from Aamir, Syeda Tooba Anwar started receiving hatred and criticism from the Pakistani media. His social media handles were filled with hate comments. As to the situation, she requested Islamic experts to speak for her as all women have the right to exercise their rights as outlined in the Sharia and the Constitution of Pakistan. He described the media’s allegations as ‘completely distorted’. Aamir reacted to the situation by saying,
Islam allows women to seek divorce if the marriage is not working. Exiting a toxic and abusive marriage in a dignified way is a right, not a sin. I still respect her and she is still my wife, however, she considers the marriage invalid. If Tuba comes back I will accept it. I will consider [her] As my elder sister.”
After divorcing Syeda, in February 2022, Aamir married 18-year-old girl Syeda Dania Shah for the third time. In May 2022, Dania Shah also filed a divorce case against Aamir, alleging that Aamir used to burn her and lock her in the room for several days. He said,
He (Liaquat) was very cruel. He used to lock me in the room for four consecutive days. He did not give me food on time and kept me awake all night. I am a child, I am not even old yet. He will humiliate me. He used to bring everything to me, be it the maids or the media, anything that he disliked, he used to misbehave with me. He used to push me here and there and even threatened that he would shoot me. He also tried to strangulate me.”
On June 9, 2022, Aamir Liaquat Hussain was found unconscious at his home in Khudadad Colony, Karachi and was taken to hospital, where he was declared dead. According to a close relative who spoke to the media,
Doctor Saheb was not well and felt pain in his chest last night. [night between Wednesday and Thursday] But refused to go to the hospital,” said her domestic help. “We reached his room today [Thursday] After that he screamed in pain. We broke the door and found him unconscious.
According to District East SSP Abdur Rahim Shirazi, Hussain and his two domestic servants lived in Khudadad Colony, Karachi. One of his servants gave the first information to the police at 1 pm. They said,
Details of the items seized from the house cannot be disclosed as it is part of the investigation, the actual cause can be found out only after the post-mortem. Hussain died about 15 to 20 minutes before he was brought to the hospital.

Syeda Tooba Anwar started her acting career in 2020 with ARY Digital’s drama serial ‘Bharaas’, she appeared on screen in the role of Meena alongside Salman Saeed and Zubab Rana. Describing his character he said,
The name of the girl I play in Bharas is Meena. She is someone who is simple, strong, who is rarely seen crying in the drama and is a working woman who stands up for herself, speaks the truth and admits her mistakes. A fierce woman, she can differentiate between right and wrong.”
Subsequently, in November 2021, she became a part of the drama serial ‘Yeh Ishq Samjh Na Aaye’ written by Munim Majeed and directed by Jassim Abbas, in which she played the role of Nimra, who hails from a well-established family and is anything but. During an interview, when he was asked about his acting journey, he said,
I have been working in media behind the scenes for a long time and over the years, many people told me that I should do something in front of the camera and that I would be very good at it, but I couldn’t do it. Never really sure. About 11 months ago, I thought let’s give it a try and auditioned for Six Sigma Plus and then completely forgot about it afterward. Then, months later, I got a call from him and he discussed the project with me. Due to the pandemic I was not sure whether I should go ahead with it or not.”
The actress also talked about her future goals regarding her acting career. She told the media that she would try not to do repetitive roles as she is more keen to experiment and explore her acting skills. She also focuses on learning new things from her seniors in the industry.

- During a media interaction with his third wife Syeda Dania Shah, Aamir revealed that he is ready to accept Syeda Tooba back as his wife. He said,
If she marries again it will be illegitimate because her khula is vacant. According to Sharia, Khula also requires the husband’s consent, requiring both parties to sit together and mutually agree to end their marriage.
