Swati Singh was born on Tuesday, 01 August 1978 (age 45 years; as in 2023) in Bokaro, Jharkhand. He received a master’s degree in management studies from Allahabad University in 2001. He obtained his master’s degree in Legislative Laws from Lucknow University in 2007.

After Swati Singh’s husband Daya Shankar Singh was arrested in a defamation case against BSP leader Mayawati and expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party, Swati Singh joined the BJP party as the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s women’s wing, BJP Mahila Morcha, in October. controversies
opening of beer bar
In May 2017, some pictures of Swati Singh inaugurating a beer bar, Be The Beer, in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, went viral on social media, due to which she faced a lot of criticism from the opposition as well as the public. During the inauguration program, two senior IPS officers Gaurav Pandey (SSP, Rae Bareli) and his wife Neha Pandey (SP, Unnao) were also seen along with Swati. These pictures surfaced when women were protesting against the sale and consumption of liquor in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath sought clarity on this. When Swati Singh was asked about the incident, she said
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked for clarification from me; I have nothing more to say.”

domestic abuse case
In July 2016, Swati’s sister-in-law Asha accused Swati of domestic abuse. She claimed that Swati and other family members used to torture her physically and mentally even when she was pregnant. She got married to Swati’s brother, Puneet, in May 2005 and within a few months, the family started misbehaving with her and threw her out of the house several times. They threaten to kill her and her child. She claimed that in 2008 she had filed a complaint against her mother-in-law, father-in-law and Swati but someone must have committed fraud as Swati Singh’s name is missing from the complaint file.
Complaint against BSP leader Mayawati
In 2016, Dayashankar was suspended and expelled from the BJP party when he called BSP supremo leader Mayawati a prostitute. During the protest against Dayashankar, some BSP workers started using abusive language against Dayashankar’s wife and daughter. Swati Singh, her mother-in-law and others lodged an FIR against Mayawati and other BSP party workers at a police station in Lucknow.

In November 2019, an audiotape of Swati Singh went viral, in which she was asking Circle Officer Binu Singh about filing an FIR against Ansal Builders and ordering the cancellation of the FIR. Swati was heard claiming that the case against Ansal Builder was fake and that higher authorities had asked her not to file any complaint against the builders. In this matter, CM Yogi has summoned the minister and sought clarification.

Claim against husband Daya Shankar Singh
Amidst the tussle between Swati Singh and Daya Shankar Singh over the ticket from Sarojini Nagar for the 2022 Assembly elections, an audio recording had gone viral in which Swati Singh was talking to someone saying that her condition was not good, please give her the paper. Give it, otherwise. If Dayashankar finds out he will kill him. When he was asked about the audio, he said that it was an old clip.
