Sutapa Sikdar is an Indian film producer, dialogue writer, and screenplay writer. She is the widow of the famous Bollywood actor, Irrfan Khan.

They both became good friends, and later, fell in love with each other. The couple got married on 23 February 1995 in a simple court marriage. The couple is blessed with two sons, Babil Khan and Ayaan Khan.

Career
She worked as a screenplay writer in the popular TV show, ‘Banegi Apni Baat’ (1993). She started her career in Bollywood as a dialogue writer in the 1996 film, ‘Khamoshi: The Musical.’ In 2000, she wrote an episode ‘Alvida’ for the television series, ‘Star Bestsellers.’ Later, she wrote the dialogues for the Bollywood films, like ‘Supari’ (2003) and ‘Kahaani’ (2012). She debuted as a producer in the 2016 film, ‘Madaari;’ starring Irrfan Khan. She has also produced the Bollywood film, ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ in 2017.

- After graduating from the NSD in Delhi, Sutapa and Irrfan Khan decided not to marry until they get good work in the films or TV serials.

- Irrfan made her rewrite almost 11 episodes of the TV serial, ‘Banegi Apni Baat’ (1993); as he was not satisfied with the writing.
- In 2019, she shared an emotional post on her husband, Irrfan Khan’s recovery, she said,
Longest year of our life. Time was never measured with pain and hope at the same time ever while we take our babysteps back to work, to life I am submerged in prayers wishes and faith from friends relatives strangers and a connection with universe which gives us a small chance for this new start.”
