Sukhpal Singh was born on 21 July and is a resident of Jalandhar, Punjab. His zodiac sign is Cancer. He did his schooling from Victor Model Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar. He studied Bachelor of Arts from Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. After joining college in 2001, he started working as a theater artist. Later, he attended an NSD acting workshop at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He actively participated in youth festivals during his college days, writing, directing and acting in plays.

livelihood
During his college days, he started working as a dance trainer. He worked as a dance trainer for seven years, specializing in Bollywood and Salsa. In 2001 he started his acting career as a theater artist. In 2002, he made his acting debut in a devotional film on Mahavir directed by Pradeep Dhiman of Phagwara, in which he played the role of a deity. However, in 2006, she met with an accident and injured her knee, after which she had to leave her dancing profession. He moved to London for some time around 2009–10. After returning from London, he became a full-time actor in 2013–14. On PTC Punjabi he appeared in the TV shows Raavi Paar and Zameer. He has also worked for Doordarshan TV channel, where he presented comedy skits. Until 2015, he was associated with Pragati Productions Jalandhar, where he played the role of protagonist Paul in the show Mr. Paul & Pali.
He worked as the marketing and public relations director of Iconic Media, a Punjab-based media and entertainment company. In 2015, he hosted the TV show Zaika Punjab Da, a food review show in which the hosts traveled to different parts of Punjab to taste and review local restaurants in the region.
That same year, he also created and appeared in the short film Turn Back Time in the 50-Hour Filmmaking Challenge. In 2017, he starred in the Punjabi psychological thriller film Kawela. Other Punjabi films in which he appeared include Nankana (2018), Sorry 22 Sorry (2019), and Jalvayu Enclave – A Lockdown Lovestory (2022).
In 2016, he played the role of a police inspector in an episode of the TV show Savdhaan India on Life OK. In 2018, she starred in the Telugu remake romantic action drama film Mehbooba.
He made his Bollywood debut with the 2018 film Manmarziyaan, in which he played the father of Vicky Sandhu (played by Vicky Kaushal). He acted in Maangi Mahal’s 2019 Punjabi song Bapu. He has appeared in music videos of various singers like Gurnam Bhullar, Kaur B and Malkit Singh.
In 2020, he starred in Zee Punjabi’s Khasma Nu Khani in which he played the role of Jolly Uncle.
In 2021, he came into limelight with the family TV drama series Udaariyaan on Colors TV, in which he played the role of Harman Singh Sandhu.

In 2022, he appeared in the psychological thriller series Masoom on Disney+Hotstar, sharing the screen with Boman Irani, Samara Tijori, Upasana Singh and Manjari Phadnis.
