He started his career as a theater artist. He made his debut in the 1989 Hindi film ‘Ishwar;’ Starring Anil Kapoor and Vijayashanti. Some of her other Bollywood films are ‘Jigar’ (1992), ‘Parvaane’ (1993), ‘Putravati’ (1996), ‘Sarfarosh’ (1999), and ‘Rakta Charitra’ (2010).

She debuted in Marathi films in 1994 with the film ‘Varasa Lakshmicha’. Later, she appeared in several more Marathi films, including ‘Sarkarnama’ (1998), ‘Aai Thor Tuje Upkar’ (1999), ‘Ventilator’ (2016). And ‘Bole India Jai Bhim’ (2017). Her first Hindi TV serial was ‘Lifeline’ (1991) in which she played the character of a rape victim. Later, she appeared in many popular Hindi TV serials like ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’ (1993), ‘Shanti- Ek Aurat Ki Kahani’ (1994), and ‘Rang Badalti Odhni’ (2010).
