Sugandha Mishra is an Indian comedian, playback singer and anchor. She came into limelight after participating in the reality TV show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” (2005). She is best known for playing the character of ‘Vidyavati’ (teacher) in the stand-up comedy and talk show “The Kapil Sharma Show” (2016).

Sugandha Mishra was born on Wednesday, 23 May 1984 (age 37 years; as in 2021) in Jalandhar, Punjab. His zodiac sign is Gemini.
He did his schooling from Rabindra De Boarding Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar.
He joined Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar to pursue post-graduation in music. Subsequently, he joined Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar to pursue a doctorate in music. After completing her master’s degree, Sugandha started getting offers to become a lecturer because she was a gold medalist. However, she turned down the offer as most of her family members were in the same profession and she wanted to do something different. Born in a family belonging to Indore Gharana, Sugandha became interested in music at a very young age. When Sugandha was three years old, she gave her first performance (read a poem and danced) in front of Shabana Azmi’s father Kaifi Azmi (poet). Sugandha is the fourth generation of her family to be into singing. He received classical music education from his grandfather Pt. Shankar Lal Mishra (disciple of Ustad Amir Khan Sahab).
