Lindsay Lohan reveals how Ayesha and Steph Curry became godparents to her son

Lindsay Lohan has starred in several Hollywood blockbusters such as The Parent Trap and Bad Girls. Obviously, he has made some of the best connections in the entertainment industry throughout his career. But what you may not know is that Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha are godparents to Lindsay’s son, Luai.

During an appearance in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallonthe Mean Girls star explained how the connection happened.

“Well, my husband knows Michael Mina, the chef, and we were in Dubai and Michael Mina kept telling Bader, ‘You have to introduce them to Lindsay and Ayesha.’ “I need them to get together.” Then she was coming to Dubai, we met and hit it off from the beginning,” Lindsay said.

“It’s a lot of fun, because as you get older in life, you don’t make adult friends or friendships that grow as quickly.”

If you didn’t know that Steph and Ayesha were godparents to Lohan’s son, don’t feel bad. You are not the only one. Most people didn’t realize the revelation until a couple of weeks ago.

Lohan and her husband, Bader Shammas, were on the court at the Warriors’ game when they faced the Atlanta Hawks in February.

After the game, Curry went to hug Lohan and signed a game-worn jersey for his son. The message simply said ‘Your godparents love you!’

Lohan even makes a surprise cameo in the film. A source told Variety that Lohan received a very sizable check for her guest appearance.

“In her scene, Lohan returns to the math competition that served as the original’s denouement and provides a full-circle moment for the “Mean Girls” franchise, which also spawned a Broadway musical. The actor also flew in from Dubai to walk the red carpet.”
