Storm Field is a retired American television meteorologist, known for his time in the New York media market. Storm Field followed his father, Dr. Frank Field, who was a longtime New York City television meteorologist.

Storm made his debut as a member of WABC’s Eyewitness News program, as a meteorologist. Additionally, he first appeared on television in March 1976 when the network hired him to cover Hurricane Belle.
He then covered Tex Antoine’s illness. Field handled both weekday and weekend programs. On November 29, 1976, Field took over as official handicapper in place of the suspended Antoine, who had been fired five days earlier for making an inappropriate comment about a rape narrative.
After taking a break, Field reunited with his father, Dr. Frank Field, on WCBS on August 24, 1992, which was the first time the two worked together. Prior to its debut, WCBS filmed many advertisements featuring Storm and Frank Field that made fun of both meteorologists’ names.
Storm Field’s third and final weather job took him to WWOR in 1997, where he worked as the station’s chief meteorologist and reported on the 10 p.m. broadcast. In the early 2000s, before he retired, WWOR hired Dr. Frank Field to work as a weekend meteorologist, giving his son a second chance to work alongside him during his employment.
However, due to budget cuts at both WWOR and sister station WNYW, Field was let go by WWOR in 2007 after 10 years of service.
