During an interview with Vanity Fair, the interviewer noted that they hoped the show would continue.

Kieran replied: “[Succession creator Jesse Armstrong] He described the entire season to me before filming. I asked him a question and when he answered it, I said, ‘Well, that sounds like the end of the show.’ He says, ‘Yes, he does.’ But then he threw out three different ideas for a fifth season that he said were out of his head. I was like, ‘I’m just saying what I think here.’ But that all sounds really amazing.’”

Kieran was asked if he could share what those ideas were and he replied: “No, not without spoiling the ending.”

Of the ending, Kieran said: “It feels like an ending, but it also feels like there could be more. Then he made me understand his struggle. He struggled with that all season while we were filming. He was like, ‘Really? This is the end. But I’m not sure.’ He didn’t tell us [it was the last episode] until we did the table read for the last episode.”

The interviewer noted that there seems to be some uncertainty with the ending and Kieran responded: “Well, look at the ending. “Then let’s see how you feel.”
