Stacey Dash debuted on television in the NBC crime drama Pilot Farrell, Valerie Harper, and Ed O’Neill (1982), but only lasted one episode. She was best known for her role as Michelle in The Cosby Show episode “Denise’s Friend” in 1985. She also appeared in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Stacey’s first significant television role was in the 1988 series TV 101, which was canceled after 13 episodes.
Stacey’s breakthrough performance came in the Richard Pryor comedy Moving (1988). She also appeared in Mo’ Money and Renaissance Man at the same time. Stacey appeared as a femme fatale in both the low-budget film Illegal in Blue and the teen comedy Clueless in 1995.
