Sridevi was born as Sri Amma Yanger Ayyapan on 13 August 1963 in Meenampatti, Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2013 by the Government of India and received the award from the President of India Pranab Mukherjee. She was famous for her acting skills and received many renowned awards for her contribution to the film industry. During his acting career, he worked with many popular actors like Jeetendra, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor etc.
