SpongeBob SquarePants: The real reason Sandy switched to bikinis
Sandy Cheeks, a scientist from Texas, works mainly from her home, called the Tree Dome, an inflatable glass dome that contains a Trees tree, a picnic table, a wheel for hamsters and a bird bath. Sandy is often seen creating various objects and conducting various kinds of experiments, and it is initially said that she went to Bikini Bottom to study marine life and its way of life. However, another reason why Sandy moved from Texas to Bikini Bottom was later revealed.
In episode 4 “Chimps Ahoy”, Sandy visits the staff of Treedome Enterprises: Professor Percy, Dr. Jam, and Lord Reginald. The reason they visited was to see the progress being made on her invention, but Sandy didn’t believe any of her work would satisfy them, and if she did, she would lose money. sponsored and was forced to leave Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob and Patrick are unable to help her, the treehouse is shut down and Dr. Jam encounters Sandy’s “Chestnut Clamp”, helping him peel a banana. Team Chimpanzee then revealed that it was an invention they had been waiting for years and decided that Sandy could stay at Bikini Bot for another 20 years with a higher salary. The episode not only reveals who Sandy works for, but also reveals that she’s not there to study marine life but to come up with groundbreaking inventions. Maybe the chimpanzees thought that a little isolation would inspire her more, but they certainly didn’t take the existence and influence of SpongeBob SquarePants into account.
