Although Michelle Jones-Watson (Zendaya) isn’t in the action like all the other characters in the film, that doesn’t mean Michelle Jones-Watson (Zendaya) isn’t an important character in the MCU. Not only is she an important character in Peter Parker’s story, but she’s also one of the funniest, as her humor and sarcastic nature create many memorable moments.

Of course, she went on to deliver many iconic moments in her latest installment, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Again, only this time she offered more wise advice. From her interactions with Doctor Strange to helping Peter defeat the villains, MJ’s lines and lines are just some of the best parts of the movie.

MJ tells Doctor Strange about etiquette:

“I myself know a few magic words, starting with ‘please'”

Even great superheroes need a reminder of their manners from time to time and MJ is the perfect man for the job. MJ is not a private person, she says whatever she thinks. In this quote, MJ reminds Doctor Strange of the proper way to ask for help when asking Peter and his friends to find other multiverse villains.

The scene was funny because Strange was surprised when she called him out, however, he hunched over and did as she was told. Considering Strange is not very friendly with strangers, the fact that he gave in so easily after she sniped proves Michelle Jones is no ordinary girl.

MJ told Peter after they were detained:

“Don’t talk nonsense without a lawyer”

In every Marvel movie, superheroes clash with the police, and Peter and his friends are no exception.

After being detained for questioning about his thrilling adventures as Spider-Man, MJ (and Aunt May) remind him of his right to a lawyer, and MJ never forgets to take care of Peter when he needs it. She’s not naive and can handle pressure on her own (which puts her on par with Peter Parker and Spider-Man).

Interestingly, this quote speaks to Jordan’s humorous and sarcastic personality. In this sentence, MJ tells the guests of the multiverse that they are locked in a witch’s dungeon. She doesn’t hold back or try to hide important situations.

This scene hilariously shows how serious the collisions between multiverses are and how people interact with each other. MJ is very honest, even with bad and evil people (which is why she and Peter get along so well).

Judging by all the previous movie adaptations, Spider-Man has faced a lot of enemies. Although Peters does his best to stop the villains without harming them, most of the fights they do result in the deaths of those enemies (which is why they believe it will happen again here).

However, in this line, Jordan explains to the villains that Peter will do everything in his power to help them, since he is incapable of being a murderer. Peter Parker doesn’t believe that bad guys should die, and Jordan knows it. Her understanding of Peter and his morals connected them.

Jordan tells Peter about his senses:

“Is your tingling tingling?”

MJ cares deeply about Peter and has done so in a few recent films. She is very observant and knows and understands Peter very well.

In this line, MJ realizes that Peter is feeling something as he surrounds the multiverse villains, and asks him if he feels anything. The claim that the bodies and souls of these two are in sync reinforce this observation. They trust each other and their relationship.

MJ on her expectations:
