Moving up and up, Sofia Vergara goes public with her relationship with surgeon Justin Saliman by declaring her “love” for the “handsome doctor.”
After a recent operation on her knee, the Modern Family The star took to her Instagram Stories to thank Saliman. “If you ever have major knee surgery, make sure you get a hot doctor to sleep with you that night!!!” she declared, for Page six. She then wrote “Luv u” and tagged Saliman in the post.
Sofia Vergara was first linked to Saliman just months after she announced her split from ex-husband Joe Manganiello. The former couple were together for seven years before breaking up.
Saliman was reportedly married to actress Bree Turner for 10 years before divorcing in 2018. He shares two children with Turner.
Vergara previously revealed that she and Mangiello ended their marriage because he was “younger” and wanted to have children.
Sofía Vergara is the mother of her son Manolo, 32 years old. She said that instead of looking to be a first-time mother, she was ready for the grandmother stage in her life.
“He wanted to have children and I didn’t want to be an old mother,” she explained. “I feel like it’s not fair to the baby.”
Since his split from Vergara, Mangeillo has dated actress Caitlin O’Connor. They moved in together in February 2024. That same month, Vergara and Manganiello’s divorce was officially finalized.

Last fall, sources said Us weekly that Sofía Vergara was very happy with Justin Saliman.
“Sofia falls in love with Justin the more time she spends with him,” the insiders shared. “They have incredible chemistry and their friends think they make a wonderful couple.”
Noting that Vergara is always a “positive person,” sources say the actress’s inner circle believes she seems “very happy” since she started seeing the surgeon.
“They love that he treats her like a total gentleman,” they said of the inner circle. “And she’s not worried about her celebrity status. He has her own things about her and he seems to really like her for her.”
Additionally, it was revealed that Vergara and Saliman had been in “similar circles” for years before getting together. “Sofía is attracted to her sense of humor and her intelligence,” the sources added. “Plus, he is a total gentleman and treats her with nothing but respect. She is excited to see where things go.”
