‘Sister Wives’ Star Mykelti Brown Pays Heartbreaking Tribute to Brother Garrison

After Garrison Brown’s funeral, sister wives Star Mykelti Brown took to Instagram to pay tribute to her late younger brother.

In the touching post, which features a photo of Garrison with his daughter Avalon, Mykelti stated that she is heartbroken that her brother is no longer alive.

“[My heart] “he rejoices knowing that he is with his fellow warriors in Valhalla drinking and fighting with Odin,” he wrote. “I hope you like his place among the stars.”

Mykelti Brown also stated that Garrison was the funniest person in the room, as well as a “cool guy.”

“I cry a lot because my children will never be able to experience your fun presence,” she continued. “But he will live in all my [family’s] memories. Have fun with the stars little brother, we miss you.”

Along with the special post, Mykelti Brown shared two quotes. The first was by Katie Kacvinsky. “But pain is like water. Find a way to get through any seal. There is no way to stop it,” she quotes. “Sometimes you have to let yourself sink into it before you can learn to swim to the surface.”

The second quote was from CS Lewis of The four loves. “To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will twist and possibly break.”

Garrison, Mykelti Brown’s brother, passed away on March 5. He was 25 years old at the time of his death. Authorities reported at the time that Garrison died of an apparent suicide and was discovered at his home in Arizona. He is the son of Janelle and Kody Brown.

Garrison and Mykelti Brown’s sister Maddie opens up about family loss

In an Instagram post on Sunday, March 10, Garrison and Mykelti Brown’s sister Maddie paid tribute to Garrison.

“My words seem to fall short,” he wrote. She also shared a photo of Garrison and his children. “Our hearts are broken and now we are swallowed by the love that remains for this beautiful brother.”

“God be with you until we meet again. I will see you at the gates of Valhalla, feasting with our ancestors who fought before you. Until then, we must live in a grayer world without the light you brought.”

Like Mykelti, Maddison later shared a quote. “I have learned that grief is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but you can’t.”

“All the unspent love accumulates in the corner of your eyes, in the lump of your throat and in that hollow of your chest. “Pain is just love with nowhere to go.”
