Sinbad makes first public appearance since 2020 stroke

Famous actor and comedian Sinbad recently broke his silence on social media. The comedian took to Instagram to give fans an update on his health after suffering a stroke in 2020.

“Thank you for your prayers, support and positive thoughts,” she captioned the post. “They have taken me here and they will accompany me to the finish line. It really is a different world here!

Sinbad also said that this won’t be the last time his fans will see him. He hopes to make more appearances, possibly in person.

“Expect to see more of me soon and don’t be scared if you turn around and I’m standing right behind you. ‘Sinbad, I can’t believe you’re here!’ ‘Can’t you believe it?’ You better believe it. “Miracles happen,” he added.

The cast of ‘A Different World’ will reunite

Sinbad was a recurring cast member of the famous comedy ‘A Different World’. PEOPLE magazine recently revealed that the cast will officially reunite. But this time the cast will reunite in a different capacity. They will go on a ten-city tour visiting different Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) similar to the one featured in the show.

Daryl Bell, who plays “Ron” in the comedy, says the cast is looking to “raise awareness” for all HBCUs across the country.

“Our mission goes beyond nostalgia. “We are on a quest to increase awareness and enrollment at HBCUs across the country,” Bell said.

“By harnessing the star power and cultural impact of A Different World, our goal is to inspire a new generation to choose HBCUs as their academic homes.”

‘A Different World’ was a cultural staple in the ’90s. Not only did it showcase the black college experience, but it also addressed real issues like racism and police brutality. Jasmine Guy, who starred on the show as ‘Whitley’, referred to the show as ‘Powerful’. However, she didn’t realize how powerful the show was until it was over.

“It wasn’t until the program ended that I realized how powerful it was and its impact across the board. Young people. Kids were going to college and families could watch the show together,” she said.

“On this show we covered a lot of important topics and it gave parents and people a lot to talk about. Things that weren’t easy to talk about. “It was a great vehicle for people to talk about those bigger issues.”
