Raven-Symoné’s younger brother, Blaize Pearman, died at the age of 31.
Symoné shared the news of her brother’s death on her Instagram account on December 11. She announced that Blaize died in November. She had been battling colon cancer for two years before his death.

In the statement, Raven Symoné said “Thank you for all the love yesterday. She felt beyond. “It’s hard to celebrate fully knowing that I’m here and he’s not.”
In a video, he continues to share his thoughts on his brother’s passing.
“To be honest, it was a little bittersweet for me. Because last month I lost my brother, Blaize. He was battling colon cancer for about two years. And now he’s in a better place. He is loved and missed. And the emotions that have been coming in and out of my body (and my mind and my family) have been a roller coaster.”

Raven-Symoné, born December 10, 1985, rose to fame as a child star in The Cosby Show and then starred in the Disney Channel series. It’s so Raven.
Symoné also had a successful music career, with albums such as For new dreams, which was primarily written by Missy Elliott. She also co-hosted The View and showcased her comedic skills in several talk show appearances.
