Shooting at Kansas City Chiefs Victory Parade site, multiple victims reported

Authorities are currently investigating a reported shooting incident at the Kansas City Chiefs victory rally. The championship parade took place near Union Station.

The Kansas City Fire Department has verified the shooting. They have called it a “fluid situation,” indicating the ongoing nature of the investigation.

Footage from NewsChopper 9 revealed an emergency crew entering Union Station. The shooting occurred west of Union Station, near the garage, where Chiefs fans were dispersing. Law enforcement efforts are underway to evacuate people from inside Union Station.

The authorities have issued a statement urging the population to leave the area. They ask attendees to leave quickly and safely. They also advise against using the parking lot to ensure effective treatment of shooting victims.

“We need people to leave the area as quickly and safely as possible. And avoid parking to facilitate treatment of gunshot victims,” police said. “Many of you have images of many agents securing the union station. “They are working to ensure the safety of everyone inside the union station and expedite care for the injured.”
