Death
On Sunday, June 28, 2020, her body was found in a bed box in her beauty parlor. Reportedly, one of her neighbours, Arif, brutally murdered her on Friday, June 26, 2020 and almost kept her alive by posting videos on his TikTok account.
Shivani’s sister Shweta said,
Arif came to meet Shivani on 26th June. She did not return home that night and I kept calling and messaging her and told her that our mother was ill. I got a message from her phone saying she was fine and in Haridwar and would be back by Tuesday.
Shivani’s neighbor had complained about the foul smell coming from the parlor. One of his friends, Neeraj, went to the parlor to find out the reason for the foul smell. He was the first person who found Shivani’s body in the bed box. According to Shivani’s father, Arif was a psycho lover and was stalking her for the last three years. Shivani’s father said,
We had informed the police who took action and they had also apologised. But he never left my daughter and took revenge.”
Later, Arif confessed that he had murdered her; Because he liked her and she had stopped talking to him for the last 15 days, due to which he was upset and Arif went to her salon where the whole incident happened. The local police of Kundli, Sonipat, charged Arif with destruction of evidence and under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

DSP Virendra Singh, who is looking after this entire matter, said,
Accused Arif has confessed to the murder. He not only murdered the woman but also kept talking to her family the entire night of the murder. Arif will be presented in the court after undergoing the Covid-19 test. The accused strangled the woman with a dupatta and put her body in the bed used by Neeraj. The murder came to light when Neeraj noticed a foul smell coming from the salon. “After this they found Shivani’s body in the box.”
