Shivani Bafna is an Indian-American influencer, entrepreneur, and YouTuber. He worked as a TV host on Asian Variety Show TV and interviewed everyone from movie stars to big filmmakers. He also founded Behind Every Dream, a community where people share and celebrate their success stories on his podcast. She calls herself the second generation of the Indian American Bafna family and has over 1,74,000 subscribers and 33.3 million views on her YouTube channel. He is also a TEDx speaker and his speech was broadcast on 21 January 2021.

For education, she went to Solon High School in Solon, Ohio. She is the daughter of Shamik and Shalini Bafna. Her father was born and raised in the United States and is in the residency business. He also has a younger brother named Shreyansh. She is the granddaughter of Kailash Bafna, who moved to the United States from Gopalpur, a small town in India, with just $7.5. He laid the foundation of a meaningful future for Shivani’s father, who was also born in America.

After this they became friends and after being friends for four months, they finally started dating. Two years later, when she moved to Mumbai things did not go well between them. So they broke up which did not last long. Six months later, they decided to leave the long distance relationship and got together once again. A year later, in January 2020, Shyam proposed Shivani in Paris in classic Bollywood style.

Their wedding got postponed due to Covid and they finally got married on 25 December 2021 in Mumbai. It was a big Indian wedding with all the Hindu rituals. After marriage, they moved to the United States and settled there with Shyam’s parents.

Shivani belongs to a Jain family and herself follows Jainism. In a quiz video on his channel, he talked about his views and said,
I think my parents did a great job of presenting religion in a way that it didn’t feel too imposed. My father is agnostic. As much as he believes in Jainism, his core philosophy was always to be a good person every day. So I think the value proposition that Jainism provides is definitely set at a fundamental level.’

She followed Miss Malini Publishing and in February 2014 she learned that they were hiring interns. She put together her resume and sent it to the company’s email along with some samples of her writing. She didn’t get a response, so she tweeted the company and didn’t respond again. She followed the company page and saw that the founder’s name was Malini Agarwal. They tried every possible combination they could think of with the domain name MissMalini.com for Miss Malini Agarwal. He tried all these combinations and sent an email to all these combinations until his email was complete and he finally got a reply. Subsequently, she started her career as a blogger at Missmalini Publishing Pvt Ltd in June 2014. Ltd., Mumbai, and worked here for nine months till February 2015.

As an intern she had a lot of responsibilities which included covering press events, trailer launches, interviewing Bollywood celebrities and writing content for MissMalini’s blog. After being in this internship for several weeks, he covered an event with his favorite actor Shahrukh Khan and took a selfie with him.

During this period, she also shot many fashion catalogs in Mumbai. In July 2015, she started working as a Social Media Marketing Intern at Everymedia Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Ltd., Mumbai and completed this internship in November 2015. In June 2016, she began working as a Client Solutions Intern at Kepler Group in New York City and completed this internship in August 2016. In September 2016, she joined FirstPerson in Indianapolis, Indiana. Worked in the field as Strategy Co-op and worked here till December 2016. In May 2017, she started as a Brand Marketing Intern at Whirlpool Corporation and worked there until August 2017. In June 2018, he considered joining AVS which was the only media company. United States that did anything related to Bollywood. She began emailing the company and received no response. He browsed their website and got information about all the team members. He emailed them all, tweeted them but still got no response. In one of her videos she talked about how she came into the company and said,
I look up the boss of AVS TV on Facebook and see that he is actually a very good friend of this other guy. I will not reveal the name because it is a matter of confidentiality. So 19-year-old Shivani thinks, hey if I’m not going to go to AVS TV, why don’t I apply for an internship at a friend’s PR firm. Hopefully I will do good work and get good referrals and then maybe I will get a place in AVS TV. I contacted that friend if he was looking for an intern for his PR company and he was for the New York Film Festival, which was just two weeks away in New York.’
She performed well on this two-week project and got a good referral, which eventually landed her a job at AVS TV. Here he started working in the New Jersey office, doing website content creation and more. The following summer she went for an internship at AVS TV Mumbai and started working for her summer internship here. At the time she worked three jobs and from 11 to 8 she would work at the advertising agency and make excuses to leave the office for AVS TV interviews. She also used to do modeling for auditions and would go to auditions at night. After this internship she went back to the United States. This time she applied for a corporate internship in the United States. He started working at Kepler Group, an HR consulting firm in Indianapolis and also did brand management at Whirlpool in Michigan, United States. In 2018, she eventually moved to Mumbai and started working as a Bollywood TV show host for the AVS-Asia variety show, which proved to be a turning point in her career. In this show he interviewed over 200 actors, filmmakers, influencers, musicians for North America’s largest South Asian entertainment show. He left his job at AVS in March 2020 and started his own project. In July 2020, he founded BFN Agency, which runs end-to-end influencer marketing campaigns and now has a network of over 250+ influencers. In January 2021, he also founded Behind Every Dream, a popular podcast available to listen to on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and iTunes.
