Shivam Patare started playing Kabaddi at the age of 13. He did his Kabaddi training at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Mumbai. In 2020, he participated in the 3rd Khelo India Youth Games held in Guwahati, Assam, India. In 2021, he participated in the 47th Junior National Kabaddi Championship in Telangana.
In 2022, he won the gold medal in the 48th Maharashtra State Junior Kabaddi Championship. In the same year, he was part of the Maharashtra Kabaddi team at the 4th Khelo India Youth Games held in Panchkula, Haryana, India. He played as a member of the Periyar Pathers team in the Youth Kabaddi Series in 2023.
