He came into limelight with his performance as a guitarist and singer in the Pakistani music television series ‘Nescafe Basement Season 3’ (2016), which features live studio-recorded musical performances by artists.
Impressed by his performance, the show’s music producer Zulfi asked him to join the production team for the show’s fourth season. While talking about his work in an interview he said,
I love being in the studio, when I come back to Karachi I am busy in my studio and when I am here in Lahore I work as an assistant producer for Nescafe Basement, in short my whole year I work in the studio. I spend my time doing what I love.”
He then worked as a guitarist and created original tracks for the Pakistani TV series ‘Pepsi Battle of the Bands’. Gradually he formed his own music band ‘Overdose’, which was later named ‘Karakoram’. In 2018, his band released their first single ‘Toofan’ and almost two years later their second song ‘Raasta’ was released.
Some of the music albums released by the band are ‘Peninsular’ (2009), ‘Storm Chaser’ (2010), ‘Ov Shangri-La’ (2015), and ‘Alan-e-Jang’ (2021).

In 2012, he started the Pakistani music studio ‘Neon Studios’ in Karachi. Sherry performed with her band in the 14th season of the Pakistani television program ‘Coke Studio’.

I remember I bought my first cassette and it was Irtiqa so for me the EP played an important role in shaping me. In fact, sitting in the same room with Zulfi and Fawad and working on something – it felt like maybe this is how EPs used to make songs in their heyday. And these two guys were leading the band so obviously it was great. Fawad’s energy while rehearsing, he is a completely different person; His perception is that he should do something like play an instrument, so this is different from Fawad Khan’s experience. But, it was great and it is always an honor to work with a star like Fawad Khan.
