He did his schooling from Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School. School, Chandigarh and Rode went to Lande College, Moga to pursue graduation in Civil Engineering. Shari was not so good in studies during her school days. He was good at sports and used to be a part of his school’s cricket team. When Maan was in college, he used to imitate Gurdas Maan and many other Punjabi singers. After listening to his mimicry, one of his professors advised him to sing in his own style. After this Shari left her engineering midway and started working on her music career. He was first noticed when his track ‘Kudiyan Te Bussaan’ was leaked on the internet. He worked several part-time jobs to finance his music career.

Shari Mann started her singing career in 2010 with the 14-track music album “Yaar Anmulle”. His track, Yaar Anmulle became a huge hit and gained him widespread popularity. The same year, he won the PTC Punjabi Music Award for Best Male Debut. Next, she sang “Pooja Kiven Aa” from the Punjabi film ‘Jatt & Juliet’, for which she received the Most Popular Punjabi Song Award in 2012. The following year, his album “Ate di Chiri” was awarded Best Album. of the Year by PTC Punjabi Music Awards. He also won the Most Popular Star of the Year award for his songs. Subsequently, he released many hit songs including “Kalla Chann,” “Hashtag,” “Vadda Bai,” “Dil Da Dimaag,” “3 Peg,” “Vadda Bai 2,” “Sade Aala,” “Hostel.” and “cute shaven.” Shari has also written many popular Punjabi songs like “Dil Da Dimaag,” “Carrom Board,” “Wadda Bai,” and “Hashtag.”
Shari Maan made her acting debut in 2013 with the Punjabi film “Oye Hoye Pyar Ho Gaya”. The film did not do well but the audience praised his acting. After this, he appeared in the film “Ishq Garari”.

- In October 2015, Shari Mann got into a war of words with Punjabi singer, Jazzy B. It all started when Shari Mann wrote a post on her Facebook account in which she praised Raaz Kaur’s poetry. In his post, he also took a dig at Jazzy B for the obscenity served in his Punjabi songs. Jazzy B responded by seeking clarification on his “Kalliyan Da Badshah” comment. However, Mann later deleted his post and apologized for his actions.
