Sharad Malhotra is an Indian television actor. He rose to fame by playing the role of “Sagar Pratap Singh”, a mentally challenged man in Zee TV’s show ‘Banoo Main Teri Dulhann’.

Sharad Malhotra was born on 9 January 1983 (age 36 years; as in 2019) in a middle-class family in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He attended St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, Kolkata to study B.Com (Hons.). He was fond of modeling since childhood. At the age of 20, Sharad won the “Face of the Year-Kolkata” contest.

Sharad started his career with the TV serial “Princess Dolly and Her Magic Bag” in which he played the role of ‘Prince Goldie’. After doing his first serial, he took a break of 4 months and went to New York Film Academy, Los Angeles to gain acting skills. In 2006, she made a cameo in “Kabhi To Nazar Milao”. In the same year, he got the role of a mentally disturbed man “Sagar Pratap Singh” in the TV serial “Banoo Main Teri Dulhan”. His character was liked a lot by the audience and after this he became famous in every household.

Subsequently, he auditioned for the role of “Maharana Pratap” in the historical show “Bharat Ka Veer Putra-Maharana Pratap”. Sharad auditioned 5 times before being selected for this role. After being selected for the serial, he also learned martial arts and horse riding.

Controversy
In May 2018, when Sharad Malhotra ended his 2-year-long relationship with his then-girlfriend Pooja Bisht, she accused him of cheating. The actress also said that Sharad has ended the relationship on the advice of his mother and astrologer.
