September 11, 2001 is a day the world will always remember.
Many lives were lost during the devastating acts of terrorism that took place 22 years ago when the World Trade Center and other locations in the United States were attacked. To date, the attack is the deadliest terrorist attack in human history.
Some celebrities came forward and revealed that they were almost on the planes that were used as weapons, or almost parked at the World Trade Center that morning.
In total, the 9/11 attacks killed 2,996 people and injured thousands more. Our continued thoughts are with those who lost their lives, the first responders on the scene, and the families and loved ones of all those affected.

Mark Wahlberg
Mark Wahlberg was supposed to be on one of the planes that took off from Boston and ended up crashing into the World Trade Center. Instead, he decided to charter a plane.
“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have crashed like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first class cabin and then I would have said, ‘Okay, we’re going to land somewhere safe, don’t worry,’” Mark previously told Men’s Journal.
Seth MacFarlane
Seth was supposed to be on American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11, 2001, which turned out to be the same flight Mark Wahlberg skipped.
Seth spoke at length about the experience, saying, “I was booked on that flight and I was drinking the night before, I got hungover and missed the plane by about 10 minutes. “It was a very close decision for me.”
Sarah, Duchess of York
The Duchess of York was supposed to be in an office in the North Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, but she was late.

michael jackson
The late Michael Jackson was supposed to be at a meeting in one of the towers that morning.
“Fortunately, none of us had any idea that Michael was supposed to attend a meeting that morning at the top of one of the Twin Towers,” Michael’s brother Jermaine Jackson revealed in his book “You Are Not Alone: Michael: Via a Brother’s Eyes.” Michael fell asleep that morning.
Rob Lowe
Rob Lowe wasn’t supposed to fly on 9/11, but he did fly with the hijackers 11 days earlier.
“I flew with the 911 hijackers in the drill, without realizing it. “I was filming ‘The West Wing’ in DC at the time and I always took the flight that leaves Dulles for Los Angeles and that they finally put into the Pentagon,” he told the Telegraph. “It was 11 days before September 11, I did the flying a lot and I didn’t think anything about it. “I got on the flight and it was full, a small plane.”
“I looked around the cabin, I don’t remember anything in particular, no one looked scary, no one looked like a terrorist. It seemed like an absolutely normal flight,” he added.
