Selena Gomez Shares Live Performance of ‘Lose You To Love Me,’ Explains Why She Turned Off Comments

Selena Gomez is revisiting one of her most personal songs to date – “Lose You to Love Me.”

The emotional ballad introduced her chart-topping album Rare in 2019 and rocketed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Many fans believe that the song is about the hitmaker’s ex Justin Bieber, however it was never confirmed by Selena.

She opened up about its meaning in her My Mind & Me documentary, explaining that it was “about more than just a lost love.”

Four years after its release, Selena shared a live performance of the song at the piano and explained a little about what it meant to her. She also let fans know why she decided to make it so that they could not comment on the video.

“This isnt the greatest i know so i hope no one minds me turning the comments off for my head but this was the best, most sincere moments with lose you to love me,” she wrote in the accompanying caption.

For what it’s worth, we think she sounds fantastic!

“Making of… me getting to know myself,” she wrote on the video, implying that the video was from when she was writing the song.

Selena opened up about the song’s lyrics back in 2019, especially a line that fans believed was a direct reference to Justin.

If you missed it, the pop star recently revealed the reason that she is single in 2023.
