Selena said she was struggling with her body image in 2018 when people criticized her online. She also had a bad experience being fitted for a photo shoot around that time.
Saying that she no longer “had the body of a teenager,” Selena explained that “none of the sample sizes fit and that would make me feel ashamed.”
“Although it is unrealistic to expect that a normal woman’s body will not change,” she said.
The pop star also compared herself to Beyoncé and Adele in the interview, saying: “I’m not unattainable. I look at someone like Beyoncé and I’m amazed. I am left speechless. Every part of her is just flawless and she is so beautiful. I went to her show and I was impressed,” she gushed.
“But I’m just not that, and that’s okay. It’s me, and I’m a little silly, but I also like to be sexy and fun, and I also want to have fun with the time I have here. We need goddesses like Beyoncé and Adele. But I’m happy to be your best friend,” she added.
