Saurabh Sachdeva is an Indian actor, acting coach and film producer. He has trained many famous Indian actors including Rana Daggubati, Dulquer Salmaan, Trupti Dimri, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Vaani Kapoor. He is popular for playing the role of ‘Sulaiman Isa’ in the 2018 Netflix series ‘Sacred Games’.

Saurabh Sachdeva was born on Sunday, 24 September 1978 (age 45 years; as in 2023) in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, India. His zodiac sign is Libra. He studied at Model Senior Secondary School, Saket, Delhi. He began his acting training in 2001 at Barry John’s Imago Acting School (now Barry John Acting Studio).

  • Being dyslexic, it was difficult for Saurabh to study, due to which he was bullied in school. He once revealed that when he was studying in sixth grade in school, he peed in his pants because he could not form a simple sentence to get permission from his teacher to go to the washroom.

  • In an interview, while talking about why he decided to become an actor and how his acting journey started, he said,

    My love for acting started in 2001, when nothing was working in my life. The woman I loved was leaving me so I wanted to become famous immediately. So I thought let’s become an actor. I started with modeling but I didn’t like it because I was shy and didn’t enjoy walking on the ramp. I connected with Barry John and I realized that I wanted to express myself. I am dyslexic and cannot express myself through words. From there my journey started, I did plays and then never looked back. In 2017, I started teaching acting and got Sacred Games.

  • In April 2019, he published a series of articles titled “Why have we stopped taking risks?” Gave a TEDx talk on the topic.
