Sandy was born on Saturday, 5 July 1986 (age 33 years; as in 2019) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His zodiac sign is Cancer. He did his schooling from St. Gabriel’s School, George Town, Chennai. He graduated from Sir Thegaraya College, Chennai. His real name is Santosh Kumar and stage name is Sandy Master. Sandy likes dancing since childhood. He used to practice all the time, and he also participated in various dance competitions in his school and college. This gave him the confidence to participate on big stages.

Sandy married South Indian actress Kajal Pasupathi in 2009. They had two children, but divorced within a few years. Once in an interview, Sandy had said that Kajal’s attitude was very dominating, which was disturbing for her. On August 20, 2017, Sandy married Dorathy Sylvia. Sylvia was a student in Sandy’s dance class. They dated for a few years and then got married. They have a daughter, Tasha.

In 2005, Sandy got her first opportunity as a choreographer in Season 1 of “Maanada Mayilada”, a dance reality TV show. He choreographed a team of dancers in the show, which ultimately won. This brought Sandy into the limelight. After the show ended, the show’s judge Lata Master offered to help Sandy get more choreography jobs. He also helped her to be a part of various dance reality shows as a choreographer.

Soon he was hired by Vijay TV. This helped him make connections in the industry. His first big job as a choreographer was in the 2014 film “Aaaah”. Sandy was a judge on the dance reality show “Kings of Dance”.
