After years of criticism, Sam Taylor-Johnson is speaking out about the 23-year age gap between her and her husband, Aaron.
During a recent interview with The Guardian, Sam claimed that the age difference never arises between her and Aaron.
“It comes from the external perspective of people who don’t know us,” he explained. “Because I guess people always…. We’re a bit of an anomaly, but it’s that thing: after 14 years you just think, surely it doesn’t matter by now?

Sam further praised Aaron for providing him with a “kind of stability” and “calm.”
“I’m definitely the kind of frenetic, crazy energy that needs someone to anchor me,” she added. “Keep me grounded a little more. Which it certainly does. He loves to be quiet, in nature. “He’s a real stay-at-home person.”
