According to Donaldson, there is a segment of our population that believes in lies and if the lies were exposed, they would be very angry. Most of the people I personally watch on cable TV and on personal websites don’t care about the truth. If it can’t be solved, I think it’s very dangerous for the country and worrying.
Donaldson is puzzled how Americans can unite to accept common truths, as they did more often before the invention of the Internet. His only advice is to encourage people to read or listen to news from multiple sources.
