He previously auditioned for the dance reality show “Dance India Dance Li’l Masters” but failed to pass the audition. He also participated in the dance reality show “Dance Plus” three times but was eliminated in the auditions. In 2019, he participated in season 5 of the Star Plus show “Dance Plus” and became the winner of the show.

In 2015, she made her acting debut in the Marathi film “Cinderella”.

She has acted in two more Marathi films, Bardo (2018) and Sur Sapta (2019).

Rupesh Bane’s mother Kirti is a security officer in a government organization. She also sews clothes to earn additional income for the family.

Before joining Dance Plus, Rupesh, along with his brothers, used to sell candles and newspapers to help their mother run the family.

In an interview, Rupesh revealed that unlike other parents who force their children to study, his mother wanted him to take up dance as his career. She also said that she initially learned dance from her mother and later took professional training.

In an interview, Rupesh confessed that he had previously faced rejection in dance competitions, and hence, to participate in ‘Dance Plus’, he practiced for 16 hours a day and sometimes even the whole night.

He had a long T-shirt, which he wore while cleaning his house. While working in his house, he made dance steps from T-shirts. He danced with his T-shirt for the first time during a competition and the audience loved it. After that, he started performing his trademark T-shirt dance in various competitions, earning him the name ‘T-shirt Boy’.
