Thereafter, She pursued a bachelor’s degree in fashion technology followed by Masters’s in English literature from Fergusson College, Pune, Maharashtra.

Ruchita began her career as a model while pursuing her graduation. Thereafter, she appeared in several TV commercials including Amul Macho and Pitara Namkeen Ad.

She debuted in the Hindi TV serial ‘Veer Shivaji’ (2011) in which she appeared as Shivaji’s wife Soyarabai. However, after a year her show was taken off-air because of the decreasing TRP.
In an interview, while expressing her disappointment, she said,
This was my first Hindi show, so I am a bit disappointed. But the distress is that I let go other good offers. I did not say yes to Raaz 3, the movie. I so wanted to live the journey of Soyarabai who was chirpy initially, then a mature wife and lastly a negative lady who wanted Shivaji’s kingdom. In fact, the creatives had told me that my character would be turning negative soon but now with the show going off air, that’s definitely not happening and hence, there is this regret. I think I should not have stuck to my commitment rather I should have moved on when I had got a better opportunity.”

I got a mail from Instagram that I had violated their policy, when I verified, I learned that my account got hacked as there were some random posts on my wall. Within a blink of a moment, I received series of What’sApp messages from a Turkish number asking me $500 USD. I immediately contacted Amol who managed to get my account back. When I posted a story online spreading awareness, the user sent me messages threatening to destroy my company”.
